Maz & The Phantasms is a psychedelic surf synth punk collective from Glasgow, Scotland. Fronted by Catalan-Egyptian artist Maz, their kaleidoscopic fusion of genres blends groove-heavy tunes with sparkly surf guitars, Latin rhythms, catchy sing-along hooks, and an electric energy that reverberates left, right, and center. Their live performances are a whirlwind of chaos and charm, both tight and loose, creating a vibrant experience for music fans, especially punks and queers who love to disco. With plenty of festival experience (Kelburn, Eden, Solfest, Knockengorroch, Lancaster Music Fest...), DIY touring (Berlin, London, Bristol, Barcelona...), and their debut album set for release in 2025, M&TP have matured into a bold yet colorful sound that’s heavy, fresh, and dynamic.
