Info, Austausch, Akkordeon, Bandoneon, Rhythmen, Stimmen, Klangkunst, Gunst… Since 2003, Schmiede Hallein is an Austrian non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing digital culture and interdisciplinary collaboration at the intersection of art, technology, and entrepreneurship. Its core activity is the annual Schmiede working festival, a ten-day international prototyping event in Hallein, Austria, where a historic industrial site becomes a collaborative production environment for artists, technologists, and designers. Each year, several hundred participants from across Europe develop experimental artistic and technological projects in self-organised teams.
