Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller

All his life, Willy Loman has worked hard in pursuit of his dreams. Now, after decades as a traveling salesman, he is exhausted to the brink of collapse. Returning home to his wife and adult children, Willy finds himself estranged from a changing world and his family. As past and present, reality and delusion, begin to overlap in Willy’s mind, the Lomans are forced to confront the contradictions and the (self-)deception at the core of their lives. Now each member of this family needs to find a way of helping a man who has never been able to ask for help while struggling to escape from the expectations he has passed on to them.
